The Problem with Action Movies Today

Fantastic Four

I do know hwy I went to see this film, oh wait I know so I could see how bad it really was and guess what!? The films sucked! The whole time they just walked around doing nothing but getting used to their powers and there was like on fight scene which was dull. My brother could make a better Dr. Doom than whoever the heck made him. I have know idea why I am reviewing this movie because I believe every other critic said this movie was bad. I am not a critic I am just a dumb guy that writes reviews but listen to my people this movie must not be watched. The actors in this movie are cool but that is about the only cool thing in this movie! I love Miles Teller and Josh Trank did a good job in making Chronicle but guys this movie sucks!

Terminator Genisys

I watched Terminator Salvation but it was to stupid to review so I will skip right to the review of Terminator Genisys. This movie is about Kyle Reese who is sent back to save Sarah Connor and when he goes back nothing is what it seems. The movie goes back to the time of the first terminator film and I liked that, they also did some more traveling. This movie was just too cool it was not like the old films but hey, I like new stuff so why not. Emilia Clarke is now Sarah, and a fun Australian actor named Jai Courtney is Kyle. Swarzenegger, Jason Clarke, and acedemy award winner J.K. Simmos are also in this movie. So the cast is amazing to, pretty much everything about this movie was just so cool. I don't know why the critics did not like it because pretty much everything in the movie was cool and fit in with the other terminator films. You should watch all of the movies except for Terminator Salvation because that movie was just a disaster and I did not like it at all. This movie should be OK for kids 12+.

3:10 to Yuma

3:10 to Yuma is a western movie about a farmer who has volunteered to take a dangerous killer across Indian land to a train that would take him to prison. Of course this farmer goes with other people too and the killer has a gang that is coming to save  him. First word that comes out of my mouth to describe this movie is, AWESOME! This is the best western movie I have ever seen and it even has my favorite actor Russell Crowe in it and also it's got another one of my favorite stars Christian Bale. This is the first time I have seen Russell as a bad guy, Christian Bale is the farmer and the chemistry as you see later on in this epic western is amazing. These two Oscar winning actors know what they are doing and the director of this film is one of my favorites. This is not my favorite but it is my favorite western and one of my favorite movies. I recommend this to everybody but this movie should not watched by kids under the age of 12+ .

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

I love the terminator movies a lot and I watched this movie as a big terminator fan and I loved it, this movie is not as good as the first two but of course it is still and awesome Swarzenegger terminator movie. It was directed by someone else and had new actors so a lot of people did not like this movie but if you are a true terminator fan you should love this movie. This movie answered questions and made questions of it's own and I really liked that about this awesome sci-fi movie. This movie is about John Connor who is now 20 something, another terminator is sent back to kill him and another terminator is sent to save him. Judgment day is coming and the terminator must also save him from the attack. The idea is great just like the other films and the action is non-stop just like the first two movies in this amazing series. I cannot wait to see Terminator Salvation, and Terminator Genisys even though they have gotten bad reviews, but who cares this movie got bad reviews to but I still loved it. This was a great add on to the amazing terminator series and I hope to see more terminator films come out in the future. This movie should be OK for ages 12+ this is bloodier than the first two and the bad terminator is a girl and is seen nude at the beginning, there is also some language but other than those the movie should be OK for ages 12+.

Terminator 2 Judgment Day

Terminator 2 was made in 1991 so you can guess that the visual effects are going to look better than the visuals of The Terminator movie that came out in 1984. But of course the visuals probably are not as good as movies of today since the movie was made in 1991 but you are wrong if you think that. The visuals are better than a lot of movies of today and this movie seemed to awesome for one at this time. Terminator 2 was an amazing visual experiance. This is one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time and I loved it. I think everybody knows what this movie is about but I'll tell those who do not know. Since The Terminators failed to kill Sarah Connor they now send another more advanced terminator to kill her son John Connor. But the resistance send back in time a terminator that will do anything it can to protect little John Connor. Arnold Swarzenegger is now the good guy and he is an amazing good guy, he is like a father to John and I really liked how the director did that. He made you feel for both John and The Terminator, and normally kids in movies are ridiculous and terrible actors but not John Connor. I think John Connor was the best child character I have ever seen in a movie, and Sarah Connor was a badass in this movie not a wimpy teen. I really liked how the director made her an awesome killer in this movie. I cannot wait to watch Terminator 3, Terminator Salvation, and the new film Terminator Genisys. This movie was more bloodier and had more language than the first movie so should be OK for kids 13+.

The Terminator

I think that everybody has heard of The Terminator movies and I think that over half of them love the films, I watched the first two movies last night and I immediately became a huge fan of The Terminator. I will watch every single terminator movie and be happy, The Terminator was made in 1984 so it is very old. Every old movie has some cheese in it and of course this movie had cheese but it still was awesome. How could someone back then come up with an idea this great and make a movie this great. Arnold Swarzenegger is super fun in this movie and I love how he chases Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese around the entire movie. If you have not seen The Terminator you must watch it and the second one because they are both amazing, old, sci-fi thrillers and I totally recommend this movie. Should be OK for kids 12+ there is not much blood but there is a scene with female nudity.

Person of Interest

This is the first TV show I will be reviewing and it is probably the best show I will review because I don not like much shows and I do not really watch them. I watched this show because my mother recommended it to me so I started to it. I loved it, this show is awesome and I cannot believe how awesome it is, the idea to this is amazing and the characters in this show are so fun and so cool. Jim Caviezel is a really talented actor he was the actor of Jesus in that epic film The Passion of the Christ, and he is outstanding in this movie. I think he should be the new Batman instead of Ben Affleck who I think is going to be bad at being Batman. OK back to the show, it is about a man who built this machine that sees everything and knows when someone is about to be killed or kill. This man hires a killer to go and stop these bad guys and then it just gets better and better from there. This show was awesome and I cannot wait for the final season that comes out in the fall sometime. I recommend this to everybody, this show should be OK for kids 11+.

Quantum of Solace

I'm back from a long trip and know I will be able to start reviewing again, the first film I will review today is Quantum of Solace which is another James Bond films. I am not such a big fan of James Bond although I did love Casino Royale, this movie is probably the weak spot in the Daniel Craig Bond films but it was still quite enjoyable. This movie is about James Bond trying to take down a secret organization and at the same time he is trying to get revenge on the death of his lover. She died in the Casino Royale film, Quantum of Solace was directed by a great director Marc Forster. This movie did not have what Casino Royale had but it still was an OK film, the action scenes were not as good as in the first one and neither was the girl. Olga Kurylenko is a good actress but I just did not feel like she fit in with this movie you know what I mean. This was a pretty dissapointing movie but I think it would satisfy most viewers so I would recommend it to some people. Overall I think this movie was downbeat, and had less thrills but it still was a pretty satisfying Bond movie.

Casino Royale

Well maybe before I leave I can fit in one more movie review, Casino Royale was the first James Bond movie that I have ever seen. I watched it yesterday and now that I watched it I plan on watching every other James Bond movie that has been made because this movie was amazing. Daniel Craig kicked butt in this movie and I loved it, there were I tension chase scenes and fights, it had a ton of thrills and I was at the edge of my seat the whole freaking movie! After I finish the Daniel Craig Bond films I will watch the Pierce Brosnan ones, and then the Roger Moore ones and then even the super old Sean Connery films. I love the Mission Impossible films but Casino Royale was better than all of them except the fourth one. I recommend this to all Bond fans and to all Mission Impossible fans because this movie is great. Should be OK for kids 12+ because there is some sexual content in this movie and a lot of gambling, drinking, and a ton of action.

Gladiator

I think it is time for me to review my favorite movie don't you think, I will not be reviewing because I'm going on a trip to Germany and I'll be their for ten days. But I'll be reviewing again when I come back though. Gladiator is the best movie that I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of movies, it is smart, epic, and just all out amazing. Russell Crowe knows how to act and I love him so much, his character is this movie was so good that he won an Oscar. Maximus Decimus Meridius is the best character I've ever seen in a movie, and Russell Crowe is the best actor out their. Ridley Scott is even my favorite director because he really know how to make a good movie especially historical movies like Gladiator, Exodus: Gods and Kings, Robin Hood and much more. I will not tell you what this movie is about but what I can tell you is that this movie is epic and is so good that I just do not have the words for Gladiator. This movie should be OK for kids 15+ because it is very bloody but it is such a good movie that the blood won't bother some viewers. I recommend this film to everybody!

The Last Samurai

The Last Samurai is an amazing movie with outstanding performances by both Tom Cruise and the amazing Japanese actor Ken Watanabe. The Last Samurai is a film about a famous American captain who is sent to Japan to train the Japanese army and defeat the samurai. Nathan Algren, which is the name of the captain, is captured by the samurai and taken to their village up in the mountains until spring. Algren learns to love the way of the samurai and he befriends the m and becomes a samurai, the Japanese then attack the samurai again with more force and that is what this movie is about. I really enjoyed this movie. I loved how good Tom Cruise was in this movie but he still was not the strongest performer in this film, Ken Watanabe was the strongest character and I hope to see more of him. I recommend this movie to Tom Cruise fans and to fans of historical movies or fans of war movies, this movie is pretty much perfect in every way. This is a very bloody film and should only be watched by kids ages 14+.

I, Robot

I, Robot is based of of a classic book of short stories, I have never read the book but I did watch this amazing Will Smith movie. Will Smith is one of my favorite actors he can be funny, and he can be serious like in this movie. This movie was a real thrill ride an I enjoyed that a lot because I am a big fan of thrillers. This movie is about a futuristic cop who is looking at a case, the man who created the robots comitted suicide but that is not what Will Smith thinks he thinks that one of the robots killed him. There is far more to the movie than that but if I told you anything else I might spoil the film, I very much enjoyed this movie and recommend it to all fans of thrillers and all fans of Will Smith. This movie should be OK for kids 12+ because there is some nudity in it and some jump scare scenes.

The Grey

The Grey is another badass Liam Neeson thriller but this time he is not trying to find his daughter, not this time he is stuck up in Alaska killing wolves. Liam is great in this movie and so were all the other guys. The wolves are really scary because they pop out and brutally kill people, Liam Neeson is one of the best actors out there and he shows it in this movie. There were many thrills and a lot of blood and language but overall this movie was pretty good. You don't really care for any of the characters except for Liam because the other guys are stupid but the movie was still good and should be watched by Liam Neeson fans and fans of good thriller movies. This movie should be OK for kids 15+.

Mad Max Fury Road

I have not seen the older Mad Max movies but this one looked pretty good so I went on and saw it, this is what a true action movie should be like! Mad Max Fury Road was amazing with tons of car chase scenes and tons of action it was literally non-stop action. Tom Hardy was so cool in this movie I loved him! George Miller really knows how to make an action movie and he is not afraid to do anything with it. This movie was so fast-paced that it makes every other movie look like they are super slow. If you want an action movie just watch this and you will totally not be disappointed by this crazy thrill ride through a crazy desert. This movie should be OK for kids 13+.

Insurgent

Insurgent is the next movie in the Divergent series these movies are based off of the amazing books by Veronica Roth. I did not write o review off of the first movie because I did not like it but this one was pretty good. It was a good thriller and it had cool visual effects Insurgent is the best book in the series and it may just be the best movie too! The movie was not as good as the book but it was still a very entertaining thrill ride. Shailene Woodley is a very beautiful and a very good actress and I really like how good she is in this movie. There was plenty of action and plenty of thrills to go around in this movie and there is a lot of great acting. This movie was not as good as I thought it would be but it still was a pretty good movie and it should be OK for kids 11+.

The Patriot

The Patriot is an amazing film about the American Revolution directed my Roland Emmerich this movie just was amazing. Mel Gibson stars in another great war movie but this movie I believe is better than Braveheart. The freedom fighters in this are better and just make me like this movie better, The Patriot was a very bloody film though, there was a lot of limbs falling off and it was just very gory. It was amazing though and I'm glad that I bought this movie and I'm even more happier that I watched the epic war movie last night. I give this a ten out of ten it was amazing! Should be OK for kids 15+.

Seventh Son

Seventh Son was a fantasy movie that I was actually excited for but it ended up being a huge dissapointment. I still liked the movie but it is not what I wanted, Jeff Bridges is a really fun actor and I really liked him in this movie. Ben Barnes' character was boring and I did not like him at all in this movie. I love fantasy movies but this one was not as fun as The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings but I just did not like this movie too much. The only reason I liked this movie was because Jeff Bridges' character was really fun. Overall Seventh Son was just a big disapointment even thought it was a fantasy movie. Should be OK for kids 11+

Chappie

Chappie was an amazing sci-fi movie and I really enjoyed it, it had a lot of action and the robot Chappie was really cute. I felt sorry for Chappie a lot because he was beaten a lot  and he was mistreated a lot too. But overall the movie was an amazing thriller movie, Chappie was so cute he was like a baby and I really enjoyed how he was made and that was the biggest reason why I liked this movie. Hugh Jackman was the bad guy in this movie and Sharlto Copley was Chappie and he did a really good job in being the cute robot. This is a very bloody movie and should not be watched by kids under 14.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

This is the most amazing romance movie ever made, I loves this movie! It is the first movie to make me cry Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett really know how to capture the audience in this cunning romance movie. It is a bout a man who ages backwards and falls in love with a girl and she watches him grow young and he watches her grow old. This movie is so sad and so good I think it deserves all the Oscars in the world and should be everybody's favorite romance. Good job everybody who made this phenomonal romance movie!

The Longest Ride

I don't normally watch romance movies but when I do I normally do not fall for them and I think they are stupid, but I totally fell for this movie. The Longest Ride was a very good and a very romantic movie and I enjoyed my self while watching this movie. I am just now starting to get into romance movies and this movie shows that I am. It is not my favorite romance movie but it is still a good one, I really like Britt Robertson she is an amazing actress and did outstanding in this movie. Scott Eastwood did good too in being Britt's boyfriend. I like how it shows to romance stories in one movie, one from back in the 1940's and one in modern day North Carolina. This is one of the best romance movies ever and I recommend it to you romance lovers

R.I.P.D

RIPD was pretty much a remake of Men in Black and I like Men in Black so I liked this one, the critics did not like this movie at all but I thought it was fun. There were a lot of funny moments in this movie and that is pretty much the only reason I liked it. I love Jeff Bridges and he did a good job even in a movie like this. Ryan Reynolds was the main character in this movie and I liked him a lot too. The visual effects were not that great but the comedy in this film was fun and I had a pretty fun time when I was watching this movie.

Spider-Man vs. The Amazing Spider-Man

Spider-Man is one of the worlds most favorite super-heroes, he is cool and has some really cool powers. In this review I will determine which movies are better the Spider-Man trilogy or The Amazing Spider-Man movies. First I have to say who I thought was a better Peter Parker, in Spider-Man it was Toby Maguire but in The Amazing Spider-Man it was Andrew Garfield. Both actors did outstanding jobs in being Peter Parker, in the comics Peter is a geek and Toby Maguire is a real geek so that is one point for Spider-Man. Now the better Spider-Man was Andrew because the actor is just a really cool guy and so is Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man movies had a better Spider-Man. Now the last thing that will determine the best movies is which movies were better, the first two Spider-Man movies were completley stupid and I hated them. But Spider-Man 3 was really cool and made me like Spider-Man the hero. The first Amazing Spider-Man movie was truly amazing and I liked it a lot but the second movie sucked. So I say The Amazing Spider-Man was better than the Spider-Man trilogy.

Snow White and the Huntsman

Snow White and the Huntsman is a twisted version of Snow White, it is a very dark version of Snow White but I thought it was pretty entertaining. Chris Hemsworth is the huntsman and he does a pretty good job at it, he kicks butt in this movie and was a pretty cool character in this movie. Snow White has to kill the evil queen in this movie, she raises an army and attacks the castle at the end of the movie. The battle at the end was really cool and I very much enjoyed it, Kristen Stuart is Snow White and does a pretty good job at it. Normally Kristen Stuart is a boring actress but she actually did an amazing job and made me have a heck of a good time while watching this amazing, twisted tale about Snow White and the Huntsman. This movie should be OK for kids 11+ for it is a a pretty dark movie.

Mortdecai

Mortdecai was a pretty funny movie, Johnny Depp really knows what he's doing when he's on set and he still shows that in this funny movie. Mr. Mortdecai and his manservant are on a hunt for a stolen painting that contains the key to a lost Nazi gold. Watch this hilarious movie and you will not be dissapointed by this comedy especially when it has one of the best actors in the world Johnny Depp. Gwenyth Paltrow is also in this movie and takes on the roll of Mrs. Mortdecai. This movie should be OK for kids 12+ because it is a rated R comedy movie.

San Andreas

I went into this movie and did not know why I was there, earthquakes destroying everything seriously I did not hate the movie as much as I thought I would though. San Andreas was a movie with Dwayne Johnson, and Paul Giamatti. it had plenty of destruction but it failed to make me happy. It was visually acceptable but it was very cheesy, a girl fell in love with a boy in about one hour of surviving together seriously! San Andreas is a movie that I will not be watching again. Should be OK for kids 11+ for there is quite a bit of language.

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland was a fun Disney movie with George Clooney and Britt Robertson, I went to this movie and did not know what to expect so I was all in on this movie. I enjoyed this movie and thought it was a very well made movie about the future and stuff like that. Tomorrowland is a movie that you could see with your whole family and it is a movie that even adults would enjoy. The critics did not like this movie very well but I did and I say you should give it a try, George Clooney did an excellent job in this movie. Britt Robertson did an amazing job and brought this fun movie to life! Tomorrowland should be OK for kids 9+.

Jupiter Ascending

Jupiter Ascending was a movie about a normal young woman who figures out she's the rightful queen of Jupiter from an alien man. Then she has to protect Earth from this bad guy and it goes on like that, Jupiter Ascending had pretty good graphics but the movie just splattered itself all over the wall by going from one thing to the next. Channing Tatum was in it and so was Mila Kunis and Sean Bean. I did not enjoy this movie that much but it was not as bad as Transcendence was, Jupiter Ascending overall was a normal space movie about something that's it. Should be OK for kids 11+ for there are 2 nude scenes in it.

Jurassic World

What a grand remake of the Jurassic Park movies!! I love this movie and I loved everything about this amazing dinosaur movie. Chris Pratt is one of the funnest actors ever and he took on the role of Owen Grady the velociraptor trainer who has to stop the newly bred Inndominous Rex. I think all of you know what this movie is about so I will just tell you what I thought about it, I did not really like the old Jurassic Park movies but I still got excited when I heard a new one was coming out. Jurassic World was darker than the first movies but far better and had much better graphics than the old movies. Go see this movie and you will not be disappointed, it should be OK for kids 10+ unless they get scared easily.

Transcendence

Transcendence is a movie that makes no sense and is really boring, Johnny Depp is one of the best actors alive and he still was in this ridiculous movie. I almost fell asleep during this what ever you call it, the movie did not even know what it was about. I love Johnny Depp, but every actor is in some dumb movie and this was his. Save your selves and don't watch Transcendence it will only be a waste of your time! I have nothing else to say about this thing.

The Lone Ranger

The Lone Ranger is a very fun movie the old TV show was for kids but the movie is not really for kids. It is a very dark version of The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp, I for one loved this movie a lot but I do not recommend it to little kids. There are plenty of funny moments and there is a lot of action in this movie too. I love modern western movies and this one was very entertaining and very fun. Armie Hammer did a great job in being The Lone Ranger and I will totally be watching it again. This movie should be OK for kids 11+ unless they get scared easily, but if your kid is 10 and not afraid of movies like this than that could be OK too.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel is back with an all new super hero movie, finally a new kind of Marvel movie. Guardians of the Galaxy is an amazing Marvel movie and shows that Marvel will be going on until the end of the world. This movie was Star Wars with super heroes and it was amazing I loved these brand new super heroes. Chris Pratt was Star-Lord whom I never heard of until I watched this movie, Zoe Saldana changed from being blue in Avatar to being the green Gamora. Groot a giant tree was in it, Rocket a talking racoon, and so was a big killer named Drax. Together these guys made a funny adventure through space to fight Ronan. Guardians of the Galaxy shuld be OK for kids 10+.

Blackhat

I'm sorry I haven't been posting reviews but I was pretty busy so I did not have time to write reviews but know I can and I will. Blackhat is a movie with Chris Hemsworth about a cyber terrorist that is doing a lot of bad things. Chris Hemsworth is in jail but is the only one who can stop the cyber terrorist, so a group of detectives and hackers let him out of jail so he can help them. He does help them and Blackhat ended up being a pretty good movie it did not have a lot of action but when it did it was a really cool action scene. The battle at the end of the movie was intense and amazing, I enjoyed this movie but it is not a movie worth buying. Blackhat is a thrilling cybercrime thriller and it was a pretty enjoyable movie. Could be OK for ages 12+ since it is rated R.

Robin Hood

There are many Robin Hood movies but none of them will ever be better than Ridley Scott's Robin Hood. Russell Crowe takes on the role of the great Robin Hood making the movie really cool, it is full of action and probably would not have been any good without a solid performance by Russell Crowe. Cate Blanchett was also in this movie and is pretty cool herself taking on the role of  Marion.
Everybody knows the tale of Robin Hood but this movie was a lot different than the others, it is how he became the outlaw, he does not steal anything from the rich he just saves England from the French. The king is really mean and I do not like him he is sort of a butthead, Robin Hood is declared an outlaw at the end of the movie by King John because the people liked him and not King John because Robin Hood had just saved there whole country. This was a great movie and should be watched by anybody who wants a solid movie.

Godzilla

This review is based off of the 2014 Godzilla movie. I thought that this was a good movie but not one of the best movies I've ever seen. This was the first Godzilla movie that I watched and is totally the last Godzilla movie I will watch. I don't really know if I liked it or not because the action scenes were pretty cool but when it was not action it was just talking. There was plenty of fighting but not enough to make the Godzilla movie I wanted to see. Aaron Taylor-Johnson was the main character is this movie, Ken Watanabe was also in it, however he did nothing cool except sit on a boat and talk. Godzilla was an OK movie, not a movie you want to watch twice but still it is a pretty cool movie after you watch it the first time.

The Passion of the Christ

This was a very hard movie to sit through and a really hard movie to watch without crying or feeling sorry for Jesus. But I did not cry though, Mel Gibson directed it but did not act out in it, Jim Caviezel took on the leading role as Jesus.  It is a very graphic film about the aweful death of Jesus, the whole movie was in Arabic to make it even more realistic. The Passion of the Christ is a rated R movie but should be watched by many other people. It is very dramatic, emotional, and sad The Passion of the Christ is probably the best movie based off of a Bible story. 13+ could watch it.

Braveheart

This is a very good movie, it was directed by Mel Gibson and the main actor was Mel Gibson to. It is based on a true story about William Wallace a Scottish man who lost his wife to the English way back then when swords were still used. William Wallace then gets angry and gets all of Scotland into a revolt against England. Braveheart won 5 Oscars and is a very heartbreaking movie, this movie is a very bloody one and is rated R. There are bloody scenes throughout the whole movie and is very realistic, Braveheart is a perfect movie and is still being watched today even though it was made in 1998. Mel Gibson is one of the best directors in the world, he is also an amazing actor and I'm happy that he took on the role of the awesome William Wallace in this epic movie. 14+ could probably watch it.

The Monuments Men

This was a really good movie based on a true story about World War II, George Clooney directed it and was the main character in it too. Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett are also in this movie. The Monuments Men was a team of U.S soldiers who go into Germany to save all the art that was stolen by the Nazi's from other countries. They stole millions of paintings and statues and then hide them away or burnt them. So George Clooney takes a team of 7 and goes into Germany, the war is almost over at this time but it still is dangerous. The movie was kind of slow at the beginning but then you will start getting into it when it comes towards the end and they start finding stolen art. This movie was not one of the best movies I have ever seen, but if you have not seen it you should give it a try because it is a pretty good movie. There was almost no action except for one or to parts when the Monuments Men run into some Germans but other than that there was not much action.

The Avengers

Now that everybody is getting excited  about Avengers: Age of Ultron I will tell you guys what I think about the first movie. It was awesome, that is what I thought about it when I first saw it in the theater I actually saw it twice in the theater but I won't tell you why. These heroes make a great team and I love all of them, the best hero is probably Captain America or Thor I can't say. They fight with their awesome powers and do cool stuff. But two Avengers do not have powers they are just really cool. That is pretty much all I can say about this action packed superhero movie.

The Hunger Games Movies

These are based off of some awesome books by Suzanne Collins, this was an amazing trilogy, but the director of them decided to split the last book into two is different movies. The best movie was so far The Hunger Games which is the first one in these movies. Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress and takes on the role of Katniss Everdeen who is the main character. Pretty much everybody who sees this review has heard of these movies, I rate all of them ten stars and each movie gets two thumbs way up. These are must watch movies and are perfect in every way, but just be aware it is going to be really sad because a lot of people die fighting in the arena and during the revolt against the Capitol where the evil President Snow lives. The Hunger Games movies are so awesome!!! The last movie Mockingjay Part 2 comes out this December and it will not dissapoint I just know it!!

The Hobbit Trilogy

Peter Jackson strikes again after making the award winning The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit is sort of like a prequel to Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit was better in my opinion because the dwarves were great, I loved them and how they fought together. There were funny moments with these dwarves and there were sad ones. The best one was probably The Battle of the Five Armies which came out just last year and was nominated for an Oscar. But they were all really great movies based off of the amazing book by J.R.R Tolkien it is a classic beyond recognition and both movies and books will be remembered for eternity. This trilogy is a must watch and made me really happy when watching them, but all good trilogies come to an end so I was both happy and sad when I came out of the theater. I was happy because it was such a good movie I was sad because the amazing trilogy had just ended. This is a must watch for anybody, it is epic, should be good for 9+.

X-Men Movies

All the X-Men movies were great, I have not seen the newest one Days of the Future Past but I have seen all the other ones. Hugh Jackman is the great actor of Wolverine who is the main hero in all these fantastic movies. His real name is Logan something but I will call him Wolverine, Wolverine fights the same bad team in each movie. That is the Brotherhood who are leaded by Magneto (Ian McKellan). The X-Men are leaded by Preffesor X though not Wolverine, every movie has a ton of action and awesomness, these are the best MARVEL movies, second to The Avengers. The best movie was probably X-Men Origins: Wolverine which is about how Wolverine became what he is today. That movie is the best one because it is all about Wolverine living his awesome superhero life, the movie The Wolverine is also only about Logan to but not as cool because he is in Japan. The X-Men are not real superheros actually, they are protectors of a school for Mutants which is what they are to. Halle Barry is also in these movies, she is Storm and she can control the weather and shoot lighting from her hands. There are a lot of Mutants but I will only tell you a few of them, Iceman who's real name is Bobby, he can turn to ice and freeze things and people so he's cool. There is also Colossus a strong man that can turn into metal, and Kitty Prye who can fun through wall and stuff like that. The last one I will tell you is Cyclops or Scott who can shoot lasers out of his eyeballs and blast things. I will not talk about the villans though so you can look that up somewhere else if you want to. So these movies were all really cool and are good for anyone 10+ probably.

Master and Commander: Far Side of the World

This was a great movie, Russell Crowe did it again he acted out in another amazing movie. This movie was about a ship captain (Russell Crowe) hunting down a French ship that attacked their ship. So Russell goes like halfway around the world to find one ship to destroy it, this movie was really cool that is why it won two Oscars. This awesome journey will keep you busy and happy while watching the movie. Billy Boyd from The Lord of the Rings also is in this movie, this movie was full of action! But in the middle of the movie it starts to get boring because they are just driving around in a half destructed boat. But at the en you will not be dissapointed by Master and Commander I say that anyone 11+ can watch because there is a scene where a guy gets hid head open so a doctor can pull something out. But other than that it was perfect Russell Crowe rocks!!!!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes vs. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

These were both excellent movies, but one movie is always better than the other, in this review I will show which one is better than the other. These were both directed by different people, I do not know why though. There were different humans in each movie that liked the apes, the first movie it was James Franco and the second one it was Jason Clarke. James Franco was more likeable because he took care of Caesar (the main ape) and was really kind. Jason Clarke was nice but he had a gun and he shot some people so he is not as good as James Franco, so that is one point for Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The backgrounds of each movie are important too, the first one it is in a nice San Fransisco, the second one is in a diseased San Fransisco. So that is another point for Rise of the Planet of the Apes because they have a nicer background not an ugly destroyed one. What also determines a good movie is how much action is in each movie. The first movie did not have much at all, most of the movie took place in an ape prison the only real action was at the end when the apes attack San Fransisco. The second movie had a ton of action, the humans and apes fought each other with machine guns and tanks it was way cooler than the first. So that is one point for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. There a plenty of other factors that make a good movie but I will only show three, Rise of the Planet of the Apes was better than the second movie, however they are both outstanding movies.

Reign of Fire

This was an OK film, it was about the world being taken over by dragons, it was pretty cool but definetly not one of the best movies I've seen. Christian Bale is the leading actor and he is a really cool guy and makes a great team with the great Texan actor Matthew McConaughey. Even though he is really weird in this movie he is still cool. There is plenty of fighting on dragon slaying or should I say dragon shooting for this movie takes place in modern times. That is what makes it better being in modern times not back then with swords and spears. Reign of Fire is an entertaining movie full of action and pop-out scenes, this should be okay for anybody ages 10+.

Cantagion

This was a very dull and unentertaing movie, the whole thing is about people running around trying to find a cure for a terrible disease. The movie did not stay on one person, it skipped from one person's story to another. The only reason I started the movie was because it had Matt Damon, Lawrence Fishbourne, and Kate Winslet. I recommend it to nobody, because my mom fell asleep and my little brother left at the beginning, my dad sleeps in every movie though. So the only person who watched the whole thing was me and I did not even like it!!!

Hanna

This movie is about a young girl who was trained as an assassin from when she was two, and she is now sixteen and is a skilled fighter and is very dangerous. She was trained her whole life just to kill one woman, Cate Blanchett or whatever her name was in the movie. Hanna is really good at killing and she kills dozens of people just to get to this one woman. Hanna was raised by her father Eric Bana to kill that is all, Eric is the one who sends her on this mission of revenge for himself. There is a bad guy in this movie that is really creepy. When my mom saw what this guy did to people she almost turned it off, but I convinced her not to so I got to finish this action-packed movie. All this poor girl knows to do is to kill people, I almost feel bad but I don't because it is just a movie. This is a cool movie should be okay for anybody ages 11+.

Kingdom of Heaven

Kingdom of Heaven was a very good movie, Orlando Bloom was the perfect choice for this movie he is really cool. This movie goes all the way back to the crusades, what made this movie even cooler was that Liam Neeson appeared in it, but only at the beginning as Orlando's father. The reason I call the characters by the actors name is because I forget the names of everybody in the movie. OK back to this movie, it was directed by none other than Ridley Scott the awesome director. This movie is rated r though for bloody violence, because there is a scene where some heads are impaled on sticks and then put out in the desert to scare the poop out of anybody coming by. There are a lot of epic battle scenes and some parts that really make me want more death, even though it is not good to kill people but hey it is just a movie. Kingdom of Heaven started immediatly with battle, in the first twenty minutes like twenty people were killed. So if you like a lot of blood and action watch Kingdom of Heaven. This could be watched by anybody ages 13 and up because that is when I watched it.

Captain America vs. Captain America: Winter Soldier

These are both excelent MARVEL films, they are full of action and it is really hard to choose which one is better. The villans of each MARVEL movie determine how good the movie is, and of course the hero to. Some villans I love so much I cheer for them sometimes, but the bad guys in theses movies were evil. In the first movie the bad guy is Red Skull a really creepy looking German with a read head. He is strong like Captain America, however he is way smarter because he invented this laser gun that can turn people to dust. The second movie had several bad guys, but the main one was The Winter Soldier, which will surprise you at the end if you have seen the first one. He has one metal arm that is indestructible and that can catch the captain's shield. So Winter Soldier was cooler than Red Skull so that is one point for Captain America 2. Now I will contrast his companians from each movie. In the first one he has an army squad with about 8 guys that are cool. However none of them have powers they just shoot ans kill, the enemy. The second one Captain America gets to people to help him. The amazing Black Widow and a new hero named Falcon, so these two are real heroes and are way cooler than Captain America's first group of heroes. The first movie takes place during World War II while the second one is in present say America. So the second one beats the first movie 2-1 because I liked the time period of the first one better than that of the second one. Captain America: Winter Soldier is better.

The Maze Runner

The Maze Runner books were so amazing, they got me so excited for the movies!! But guess what, I wanted to cry and leave the theater in the middle of the movie. It was not close to the book at all, but they did pick cool actors, Dylan O'Brian, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Will Poulter. I loved the characters the same, but the whole movie was a flop, it should have been called something else. Even the Grievers were disapointing,Ii was expecting a really scary monster with needles, but what did I get? Slimy, robotic, SPIDERS!!! What in the world, I was really mad after that huge disapointing movie I do not want to see it again. But wait you people who have not read the books, you guys should watch it then you will like it, however those of you who have read the books will hate it so do not bother to watch it if you have read.

Exodus:Gods and Kings

This was an interesting movie, I watched it because Christian Bale was acting out in a bible movie so I wanted to see how he would do. He did good but the film was poorly written and I found myself skimming through the last hour of the movie due to how boring this movie was. Ridley Scott is a good director but he made a miserable movie. Moses is a good story and stuff but, this movie lacked everything you need to make a good movie. Exodus:Gods and Kings was rotten, boring, and terrible I recommend no one to watch it unless you want to see how dull it was or just if you want to see Christian Bale who was pretty cool but that is all. It had little action and it did not stay close to the story in the bible at all which made this movie even worse than it had to be.

Noah

Noah was a really cool movie, it had action and it kept me entertained. Russell Crowe takes on the leading role as Noah, this is based off of a story from the bible. Russell yet again made me happy by being in this great film, Emma Watson and Anthony Hopkins also appeared in it. Noah is told by the creator to build an ark to be ready for the worldwide flood. But a lot of bad people want to stop him and try to kill him. Of course Noah and some odd monsters fight them and make sure his boat is not destroyed before the great flood comes. This was an epic film and I found it to be very fun and entertaining, good enough for anybody ages 10 maybe even 9 and up.

The Water Diviner

This was a very touching movie, almost made me cry, but definetly made my mom cry. Directed by Russell Crowe and the main character is Russell Crowe to. He made a good movie full of happy moments and sad moments. It is the sadest movie I've ever seen, about an Australian dad whose three sons were sent off to Turkey to fight in WWII. None ever come back so he goes off to look for his three lost sons. Although it is rated R it was not that gory, except for when somebody gets there face blown to pieces. Russell is a very good actor and I love the guy, he made an exelent movie and made it even better by acting out in it as the leading guy. I say anybody 12+ should watch it, just be aware that somewhere in the end somebody gets there face blown off.

I Am Legend

This is a heart pounding movie, one man, thousands of diseased monsters that come out only at night. Will Smith and his dog must try to survive against nocternal, diseased monsters, it scared the crap out of me when I watched it at the age of 10. Will Smith is trying to find the cure to the disease and save the world from ending. The movie is sad though, my aunt cried during it, but I did not just so you know. This movie has you hiding under your blankets and wanting more and more action. Will Smith is completely awesome and make this movie even cooler with his acting. This could be for anybody 12+

Hidalgo

This movie was based off of a true story about a cowboy that goes to race in the middle east with his horse Hidalgo. Frank Hopkins(Viggo Mortenson) is the famous rider that raced in this long and dangerous race. 100 racers came but only four finished it alive, the middle easterns are cheaters in this movie, they try to kill Hopkins in the race but of course he brought his pistol and stops them from killing him. Hopkins won hundreds of races before this race, but none of them were as hard as the great race. Hidalgo was a very touching film and made me smile at the end of this amazing horse movie. It is my all time favorite horse movie, I recommend it to anybody ages 9+

Edge of Tomorrow

I liked this movie, it was not the best alien movie I've seen but it was a good one. Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are fighting together through time and against aliens. Tom Cruise has the day reset every time he dies, and he has the help from Emily Blunt, they are really cool when fighting together so that is one of the reasons I liked this movie. Another reason why I liked the movie was because of all the fighting, there is a lot of fighting because they have to fight the same battle over and over again. If you like alien movies you would like this, but there are definetly better movies than this so if you don't watch it you won't be missing out on a lot. I recommend it ti anybody ages 11+.

The Eagle

I beat you that most of have not heard about this movie, it is about a young man (Channing Tatum) who's father went north in England during the Roman era. His father was the leader of a patrol that went to scout in the wild north of the wild England. He never came back, Channing Tatum is assined to  a fort that cuts off northern England from Roman owned southern England. He is there because he wants to go north to find his father or his Eagle emblem if he is dead. He goes with an english slave. There is plenty of action and fighting in it, the wild men are really crazy and give Channing Tatum a really hard time in finding his fathers gold emblem. This was a very good film drama and adventure are what kind of movie this is, this is a good movie. I recommend it to anybody 11+.

Non-Stop

If you like thrillers, you should take a shot at this amazing movie. Liam Neeson is a cool guy and is my all time favorite actor, this movie will get you really confused. You never know who that bad guy is, I stayed up till three watching this movie, I thought that I would only watch some of it but I ended up staying up. This movie is awesome and is an amazing thriller, it made me go nuts, who is that bad guy! I started thinking the bad guy was not on the plane due to how he was getting away in a crowded airplane with killing people. If you want a heart pounding film watch Non-Stop.

World War Z

The first movie I will write about will be my favorite movie of all time, World War Z! It is the best movie ever. There are alot of scary spots and alot of action, this movie will make sure your eyeballs are stuck to the screen. Brad Pitt was a very good choice for this movie and I'm glad it was him, nobody else could have acted out in this movie as good as he did. It is about a zombie plague that is going to wipe out the world, so Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) must go on a worldwide adventure to try to find a cure or something for this plague. This is my all time favorite movie it is a must see.
